A component that combines a button or text field and a drop-down list.
The user can select a value from
the drop-down list, which appears at the user's request.
If you make the combo box editable,
then the combo box includes a text field
into which the user can type a value.

Warning: Serialized objects of this class will not be compatible with future Swing releases. The current serialization support is appropriate for short term storage or RMI between applications running the same version of Swing. A future release of Swing will provide support for long term persistence.
