options
Command-line options.
class
Name of the class to be invoked.
jarfile
Name of the jar file to be invoked. Used only with -jar.
argument
Argument passed to the main function.

Description

javafx launches a JavaFX Script application. This command sets the application's classpaths and then invokes the java command to launch the application.

The javafxw command is available on Windows only. This command is identical to javafx, except that with javafxw there is no associated console window. Use javafxw when you don't want a command prompt window to appear. The javafxw launcher will, however, display a dialog box with error information if a launch fails for some reason.

Options
-client
Selects the client VM.
-hotspot
Synonym for the client VM (deprecated). The default VM is client.
-server
Selects the server VM.
-agentlib :[libname][=[options]]
Load native agent library. For example: -agentlib:hprof. See also -agentlib:jdwp=help and -agentlib:hprof=help.
-agentpath:[pathname][=[options]]
Load native agent library by full pathname.
-classpath [Class search path of directories and jar files]
-cp [class search path of directories and zip/jar files]
A separated list of directories, JAR archives, and ZIP archives to search for class files.
-D [name=value]
Set a system property.
-enableassertions[:[packagename]...|:[classname]]
-ea[:[packagename]...|:[classname]]
Enable assertions.
-disableassertions[:[packagename]...|:[classname]]
-da [:[packagename]...|:[classname]]
Disable assertions.
-enablesystemassertions
-esa
Enable system assertions.
-disablesystemassertions
-dsa
Disable system assertions.
-jar
Execute a program encapsulated in a JAR file. For example:

javafx -jar App.jar argument

The first argument is the name of a JAR file. Only the Main-Class JAR manifest attribute is supported, which is used to launch the application. All other JAR manifest entries are ignored.

Although this option is provided for compatibility with the Java launcher and can be used for simple JavaFX applications, a better practice is to use the javafxpackager and the Java Web Start technology as the deployment solution.

-javaagent:<jarpath><=<options>>
Load JavaFX Programming Language agent. See java.lang.instrument.
-jre-restrict-search
-jre-no-restrict-search
Include or exclude user-private JREs in the version search.
-profile [desktop | mobile]
Specify the JavaFX platform. The JavaFX SDK supports desktop and mobile, and defaults to desktop.
Internally the -profile option specifies the configuration file, which is used for setting environment variables.
-splash:<imagepath]>
Show splash screen with specified image.
-showversion
Print the product version and continue.
-verbose[:class|gc|jni]
Enable verbose output.
-version
Display the JavaFX platform version.

Note: use -J-version to get the Java platform version.

% javafx -cp Foo.jar foo.Main
-version:[value]
Require a specified Java platform version to launch.
-? -help
Print a help message.
-X
Print a help message showing non-standard options.
