2.7.1 Однострочные комментарии

В языке Octave комментарий начинается с символа решётки «#» или символа процента «%» и продолжается до конца строки. Любой текст, следующий за символом решётки или процента, игнорируется интерпретатором Octave и не выполняется. В следующем примере показаны комментарии, занимающие всю строку и части строки.

function countdown
  # Count down for main rocket engines
  disp (3);
  disp (2);
  disp (1);
  disp ("Blast Off!");  # Rocket leaves pad
endfunction
