Ковариации GMM
Демонстрация нескольких типов ковариаций для гауссовых смешанных моделей.

Хотя GMM часто используются для кластеризации, мы можем сравнить полученные кластеры с фактическими классами из набора данных. Мы инициализируем средние значения гауссиан с средними значениями классов из набора данных обучения, чтобы сделать это сравнение корректным.
Мы строим предсказанные метки на обучающих и тестовых данных, используя различные типы ковариаций GMM на наборе данных ирисов. Мы сравниваем GMM с сферическими, диагональными, полными и связанными матрицами ковариаций в возрастающем порядке производительности. Хотя можно ожидать, что полная ковариация в целом будет производить лучше, она подвержена переобучению на малых наборах данных и плохо обобщается на тестовые данные.
На графиках данные обучения показаны точками, а тестовые данные — крестиками. Набор данных ирисов четырёхмерный. Здесь показаны только первые два измерения, и поэтому некоторые точки разделены в других измерениях.
