Если не указано иное, все функции, описанные в этой главе, будут работать с вещественными и комплексными скалярными, векторными или матричными аргументами. Функции, описанные как отображающие функции, применяют заданную операцию к каждому элементу индивидуально при передаче матричного аргумента. Например:

sin ([1, 2; 3, 4])
